1970 – Rob won the Council Art Award and in 1973 for The Best School Artist in at the age of 16. At the age of 17 he became the youngest Marketing Manager in Australia for the countries leading automobile retail parts company Repco Auto Parts (Aust.) overseeing the showroom designs, trade exhibitions design work and marketing and it’s subsidiaries, including the World Formula 1 Grand Prix Winning Repco Brabham & parenting company Finlec Tyre Co. Sweden and was responsible for Repco’s biggest Australian wide Promotion (Guess Who Is On The Moon) Repco.
By the 1980’s Rob had started his own business with artwork beamed to millions for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Foster’s Adelaide Alive Grand Prix office took on Rob’s design under George Patterson Advertising & it’s slogan Roar by the Shore Indy on the Gold Coast was another used concept.
By 1990 Rob had taken out over 10 wards Australia wide. Rob was assigned by media mogul Edmond Rouse on Tasmania’s opening of its second Casino sign writing by hand in 24 crt gold every room number to promotional material for all International acts, roulette tables, for all buses and visual street advertising for the Grand Opening of Country Club Casino.
The Nine Network was using Rob to airbrush graphics for their top ranking shows inc. 60 Minutes, Worldwide Sport, News & Weather backdrops inc. Sports on Sunday & Special Events trick graphics on show cars Lead to Peter Brocks racecars & the Dick Johnson Racing inc the Bob Jane Corporation / Nissan & Toyota Australia inc. Sidchrome, Yokohama, Dunlop & Bridgestone.
He also dabbled in special effects for film & television reaching 20 Million people across America & suppling artworks for the motion picture year book.
By 2000 The growth of Federal Casinos. His business moved into artwork for gaming machines with aristocrat & International gaming technology supplying Federal Hotel Casinos & Crown Casino with all forms of hi quality presentation in all areas of their marketing & entertainment.
By 2010 Rob had progressed to setting up the and assisting in the states Top 3 Visitor Attractions including the Federal Government 30 million ABT Railway whilst supplying Qantas, Medibank Private, BHP & Coles with innovative designs & concepts Australia wide.
He also fabricated the states biggest residential fountain, & the 5m all Stainless Main Entrance illuminated sign of award winning Hotel Charles winning awards with the Lion Nathan Boags specialised container bar & Leading wineries, also with the government Technical Colleges interior presentation & Launceston councils Hall of Fame presentation foyer.
Suppling overseas Project Mangers in Dubai with design concepts for the worlds leading hotel Palazzo Versace & concept designs & also the new Pearl Harbour Visitor Centre in Hawaii.
By 2014 seen Rob put together Tasmania’s No. 1 privately owned luxury estate outside Government House Hobart as voted by The Mercury Sunday Tasmania and filmed on Sky Business News Local & Overseas. The Recent record smashing Phantom Of The Opera stage production seen the fabrication of specialised props undertaken by Rob.
